Filtaire have developed a wealth of experience producing air purification systems for use across a wide variety of applications. We are committed to operating in an ethical mode relating to customers and applications. (Air Purifiers are also known as; air cleaners, air filters, air scrubbers & air washers)
Continuous research and development, high quality manufacturing, together with our ability to produce bespoke, highly specialised solutions to client’s specific needs demonstrates our commitment to excellence. Extensive documentation, from leading independent scientific organisations, illustrates the effectiveness of our products. Our mission is to continue with technical improvements, where possible, and to provide the best mechanical and electrical components available for all machines.
The Filtaire range has been specifically developed to efficiently eradicate indoor air pollution using a multi stage radial filtration system. Combining this with a range of contaminant specific filter elements allows the systems to be tailored to the needs of individual applications, rather than a ‘general’ or universal approach.
The benefits of using the Filtaire range include the ability to ‘focus’ units at known sources of pollution. This is known as ‘source control’ and at the heart of future strategies in providing good IAQ, which is balanced with the need for efficient ventilation and low energy consumption. It means the action or group of actions that lead to avoid the emissions at the place they would have been liberated or to confine the source of indoor air pollution before the emissions reach the whole space. This is a superior design enabling a far more rapid removal of pollutant than many ‘standard’ filter units that mostly sweep walls and ceilings.
In comparison with total air treatment with 4 room volumes per hour, which is common practice, or even 8 changes, it will take statistically around 15-30 minutes to clear a room. Filtaires focused at the pollution will remove most of it in seconds.
Filtaire Air Purifiers continuously re-circulate air within enclosed spaces – rooms, offices or work areas, and can create conditions that approach those of ‘clean rooms’. This process is completed many times an hour and each time polluted air passes through special filters that remove contaminants, thus returning cleaned air to the room. There is as a result, a very significant reduction in the risk of breathing in unwanted or potentially harmful contaminates such as bacteria, viruses, pollens, spores, smoke etc, as well as solvent vapours and odours. The air treated in this way becomes cleaner than so called ‘fresh air’, which in itself may be contaminated.
All solvents are toxic and provision for safe working environments to Government guidelines and meeting Health and Safety Executive requirements is an essential aspect of indoor air quality control and the protection of all personnel.
Contaminants may be A) Particulate i.e. solid particles down to sub-micron levels (1 micron = 1/1000th millimetre) or B) Gaseous in the form of volatile organic compounds (VOC’s). Both the amount of the airflow and the type of filter being used will determine the efficiency of the units. There are many cases where Air Purifier systems will give much better results than ventilation and extract systems.
All Filtaire units offer a selection of filter media and specialist carbons to suit various applications. Selection of the optimum filter media and combinations for various applications is a matter of experience; hence it is advisable to consult us about your particular situation.
Filtaire manufacture both portable and free standing units, as well as the high performance 5000 system for commercial applications and larger spaces, which is intended to be ceiling or wall mounted. They are inexpensive to install because they do not require expensive ductwork or fans, can easily be retro fitted and moved with fitting time by a qualified electrician of around 1 hour. For larger spaces, multiple units still ensure exceptional levels of clean, pure air which is essential to controlling infection and providing a healthy environment.
Of course, good indoor air quality is essential for human beings, however, there is also significant benefit for those involved in manufacture for products and processes which may suffer from unwanted inclusion of dust and dirt and other forms of airborne contamination. Filtaire Air Purifiers can provide a low cost option to achieving cleaner rooms and conditions which are invaluable for improving the quality of the air to avoid spoiling products or processes in many industries and applications.
Economic to operate, only consuming 120watts, which in a world of ever increasing energy costs is an important factor, and because they re-circulate the air, the Filtaire range has the added advantage of not requiring additional heating or cooling to maintain temperature when compared with most extraction and ventilation systems. They can of course be used together with air conditioning where it is installed.
